This week I had the chance to drive the still unreleased Mazda CX-9 Crossover. The CX-9 is the largest vehicle ever offered by Mazda and with its three row seating it will only be offered in North American Markets.

I had a chance to put the new large crossover though its paces on a variety of country back roads and on the highway. The over all feel conveyed luxury with excellent on center steering feel, no body roll and none of the ponderous characteristics associated with large body on frame SUV's.

The interior was definitely upscale with quality fit and finish and comfortable seating. Designed to be the family friendly alternative to the minivan that allows enough room for kid and cargo hauling with out giving up the sporty Zoom Zoom feel of other vehicles in the Mazda lineup.

I spoke with Chris Hill Mazda's vehicle line manager for the Mazda CX-9 who filled me in on some of this crossovers details. I hope you enjoy the interview.
